You can explore the city by using the panoramic images of the areas labeled on the city map. Just click the site locations. At the geologic sites you will be making obserations about the volcanic deposits that buried the city. At the archeological sites you will be learning about life in Pompeii just before the 79 AD eruption.
To complete Task 8 in your field notebook, you must visit the Geologic panorama site at the Necropolis in Pompeii. Instructions about data collection are provided on the page for the Geologic site.
Click on each circular marker to view a panoramic image of the site. The yellow markers are archaeological sites where you'll discover cultural information about life in Pompeii. The red marker is the geological site for Task 8.
