The Garden of the Fugitives

As the excavation of Pompeii proceeded, there were places throughout the city where groups of people killed during the 79 AD eruption were discovered. One of these sites is the Garden of the Fugitives, located in the southwest part of the city, where 13 people were discovered. Their remains were dramatically revealed using plaster casts.
